External Sources of Research Data

• Population Data BC, housed at the University of British Columbia, administers researcher access to data housed in the BC Linked Data Base on a cost recovery basis.  
• The Canadian Institute for Health Information: CIHI is a non profit, pan-Canadian organization that provides essential statistics and analysis about the health care system in Canada. It provides access to data in more than 20 national and provincial data holdings in 3 areas: health services, health professionals and health spending. Population health research is supporting by collecting data on other non-health related factors, such as income, that have a relationship to health status.
