Library Services

Fraser Health Library Services provides efficient and timely knowledge and information services to hospital administrative allied health, medical, nursing, and support staff in support of:

• patient care
• evidence-based administrative and clinical practice
• clinical teaching
• continuing education and professional development
• research

The services and knowledge-based health resources we offer include:

• Access to major health science databases (i.e. Medline, CINAHL, EMBASE, etc.) 
• Current authoritative print, electronic and multimedia collections, including books, journals, and other resources 
• Interlibrary loan services for materials not available in print or electronic collections 
• Instruction on database searching and the use of other print and electronic library resources in support of evidence-based research skills 
• Customized expert literature searches
• Table of Contents journal service   
• Self-service photocopying 
• Internet access

Fraser Health Library Services is comprised of 13 libraries; we have a physical presence at all 12 hospital sites as well as Queen’s Park Care Centre. The following sites offer full library staffing and significant resources: Abbotsford Regional Hospital, Burnaby Hospital, Chilliwack General Hospital, Royal Columbian Hospital, and Surrey Memorial Hospital. Library assistance is also available at Delta Hospital, Eagle Ridge Hospital, Fraser Canyon Hospital, Langley Memorial Hospital, Mission Memorial Hospital, Peace Arch Hospital, Ridge Meadows Hospital, and Queen’s Park Care Centre.
