2011 Seed Grant Competition for ResearchHave you ever wanted to get involved in research but do not have the time or money to do so?  Here’s an opportunity for NEW Researchers to get an award of $5000 to spend on a research project that will help benefit Fraser Health.

The Fraser Health Department of Evaluation and Research Services is pleased to announce the 2011-2012 Seed Grant funding competition. 

Up to $5,000 is available per grant, to support research studies lasting up to one year.

The funds can be used for backfill or release time to conduct research, as well as to hire research staff. Up to four research grants will be funded.

To be eligible, applicants must not have held previous research funding with any agency, including Fraser Health.

A grant preparation workshop, for applicants that submit an LOI, will be held on October 27, 2011 at Royal Columbian Hospital, Sherbrooke Conference Room 2.  This workshop is highly recommended as it will provide hints and tips on how to develop a successful application to the Fraser Health Seed Grant competition.

Please note that this competition excludes funding for evaluation or quality improvement projects.
